Feed Your Mind

It is very natural that humans have to feed daily to enable growth and development. Feeding is an act of taking into the body system but it doesn't have to do with taking anything in because somethings are toxic and deadly when taken into the body system. One has to be careful of what goes into the system.

The Mind is a very wide and large being that controls everything we do, our actions, attitude even you as a being. Your mind is the real you. Your every action, moves is as a result of the responses of your mind. Before any action or move is taken like you watching TV, it must have been concluded in your mind basically for one reason or the other. YES! there is always a reason or more for every moves or action a man takes. So, you have to be very careful of what you feed your mind with.

On part A of FEED YOUR MIND, I will be discussing on ways by which the mind is been fed. We feed our mind with information knowingly and unknowingly through:
  • The Media: The media has made a very big effect on feeding our mind because we use them daily. It is either a positive effect r a negative effect depending on the user-what the user uses it for, what is been learnt from it. Talking about the media, we must talk about the internet, television, newspaper, magazine, radio and many more. We all use these things. What you watch, read and listen to is not just passing by, the mind is receiving  and accommodating the information be it positive or negative. Watching of pornographic movies can only but feed your mind with sexual activities which the mind will react to by wanting to practicalize what it has been fed with. A child of twelve reading dating magazine, sooner or later, the child would want to date his/her class mate and this is the effect of what  he read. There are million and one things we can feed our mind with positively like educative program, making research, networking, business and many more that will help feed our mind to grow and develop rightly.
"The information you feed your mind with can either build you or kill you"
  • Your Environment: Your environment has to do with everything about you because you spend most of your time there. Your environment has to do with your place of work, worship center, home, friends, families and other places you spend your time. Everyday, things happens at home, work place, you hear from friends, family members, worship centers and all these are stored in the mind. The level of words you hear, the type of words you listen to and the places you go adds to you (your mind) and they reflect and show up in you. Your environment is made up of both the positive and negative and it is your duty to choose the one that goes into you. For you to be positive, you must learn to filter everything you see and hear before storing them in your mind. Your environment is a training field that is mearnt to build you.
"You must change the source inwhich your mind gets inspiration to act the way you want"

FAILURE CAN BE TURNED INTO ACHIEVEMENT

Note, achievement in life in not by:

Family Background  having a good family background is something to be grateful for but it’s not the reliable indicator of accomplishment. High percentages of great man have come from broken homes.

Wealth  some of the greatest men of accomplishment have come from a household of average to below average means. Wealth is not an accurate indicator of high achievement, and poverty is no guarantee of low achievement.

Opportunity-Opportunity is a very peculiar thing. Two people with similar gift, talent and resources can look at a situation and only one person will see tremendous opportunity while the other sees nothing. Opportunity is in the eyes of the beholder.

High Morals-I wish it were that simple and that this was the key, but it’s not. I’ve known people with high morals but were low achievers and I have know scoundrels…rats who were high producers.

Hardship- For every success who has avoided tragedy, there’s Helen Keller (a dear-blinder woman) who overcome extreme difficulties or a Victor Frankly who survived absolute horrors.  The difference between average people and achieving people is their perception and response to failure.

Nothing is great in the beginning stages of when God first starts working in a man’s life. That man’s prayers will be elementary. His efforts will be clumsy and uncoordinated. His whole sense of walking with God will be spent in the shallows. If that man refuses to give up or if he refuses to give in, if his desire and determination and his sense of purpose will capture his emotion, then God will work with his life. It takes time, persistence and a desire. These element becomes the fuel for revivals, energy for relationship with God and absolute authority in the Kingdom of God.

There are endless ways by which God shapes the soul of a man.
  • For some, all it takes is a look as with Zacchaeus.
  • For some all it takes is for them to be blinded by light as with Paul.
  • For some, it takes a midnight confrontation as with Nicodemus.
  • For some, it takes a noonday conversation as with the woman at the well.
The only growth worth investing in is that which grows gradually. Great men are made in stages. Not overnight.

The blinded man is neither a genius nor a freak nor an idiot. He has a mind that can be educated, a hand which can be trained, and ambitions which it is right for him to strive to realize and it is the duty of those around to help him make the best of himself so that he can win light through work.

“It is not what a man keeps but rather what he gives that makes him great. It is not what a man possesses but rather possesses the man makes him great.

Start turning your Failure into Achievement.

The Power of Passion

I
n our everyday lives, we meet some challenges that tend to stop us from getting to our desired level and destination. Challenges can come in any way either educational, financially, families or otherwise but if we are passionate of it, we will successfully get it.
It has been said that passion is having strong feeling for someone or something but if you must know, there is more to passion. This write-up is meant to give you more insight about the power of passion.
Passion is a divine energy that enables a man to achieve his set goals. It is the supernatural pride that can send a man to prison and is capable of putting a crown on his head. It is not feeling empty for something we don’t have or done but feeling strong for one thing to have or be done. It is an obsession to achieve an uncommon goal, the key to great success. Passion unlocks the divine energy you have got to help make progress when you think all is over. It is the light that shines when darkness seems to be your dwelling point. What can be achieved on planet earthy without passion?
A man living without Passion
is just like a car without fuel.
The way to accomplish what you want to is not simple and straight as it seem because there are obstacles, challenges that make it rough and difficult for success to be attain. The only thing that keeps you going is the passion you have for what you want. Whatever you are passionate of, you can become the best in it notwithstanding how tough and difficult the challenges may be. Always remember that challenges are not meant to stop or pull you down but made to make you stronger, the more the challenges increases, the more success is closer and achiever you become. Challenges are stepping stones to success coming your way to give you the qualification to success.
Develop the passion for what you want and I assure you that you will become the best in it.

common things we do

Words from the mouth of a wise man are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him;
the beginning of his talking is folly, and the end of it is wicked madness.
Yet the fool multiplies words. No man knows what will happen, and who can tell him what will come after him?
The toil of a fool {so} wearies him that he does not {even} know how to go to a city.
Woe to you, O land, whose king is a lad and whose princes feast in the morning.
Blessed are you, O land, whose king is of nobility and whose princes eat at the appropriate time-- for strength, and not for drunkenness.
Through indolence the rafters sag, and through slackness the house leaks.
{Men} prepare a meal for enjoyment, and wine makes life merry, and money is the answer to everything.
Furthermore, in your bedchamber do not curse a king, and in your sleeping rooms do not curse a rich man, for a bird of the heavens will carry the sound, and the winged creature will make the matter known.
The Sin of Gossip
1. Gossip is defined as: Idle talk and rumors especially about the private affairs of others.
2. The content of gossip may be true or false, that has no bearing on whether or not it is gossip.
3. Gossip is then talking about another person revealing information that one has no right to pass on, whether true of false.
4. Gossip is violation of the privacy of another person.
5. There are three types of conversation: Talking about self which is arrogance and self-centeredness. Talking about people which is gossip. And talking about ideas which can enlighten others.
6. If you are not part of the problem or part of the solution you have no right to talk about others in the presence of a third person.
7. Consider everything you know about a person to be confidential.
8. Under the principle of Spiritual love found in John 13:34-35, anything said regarding another that does not build them up and enhance the opinion of another regarding them is wrong, it is gossip.
9. A person who gossips, demands second hand knowledge of others, runs others down, is bitter and miserable and in line for divine discipline and reaping what they sow.
10. When you encounter a gossip the best thing to do is shut them down right then and there. Do not share in their evil. And avoid the gossip like you would avoid a person involved in what you might consider the worse sin (child molesting).
CONCLUSION:
1. We have no right to invade another's privacy through gossip
2. We may not always like what others do but so what? Let someone who can do something about it hear your complaints, take it to God in Prayer.
3. A local church can be destroyed by gossip. If you cannot say that which is edifying and uplifting then do not say anything at all.
4. Do not allow others to dump the poison of gossip onto you. Avoid the gossip, shun them, do not give them an opportunity to gossip...remember, it takes two to gossip.
5. The best way to prevent gossip is by using two principles of doctrine.
Do not ever take from the Lord that which is his prerogative.

He is the only judge over His Saints. Not us.

Love one another, the Lord said, just as I have loved you . The application of unconditional spiritual love does not allow you to tear down another believer through gossip.
